Ecological program
Laminated safety glass has been used in the automotive industry since 1977.
Unfortunately, this contaminated material is not integrated into the global recycling chain.
Instead, it ends up in landfill sites or is incinerated in high-temperature furnaces.
This releases pollutants into the atmosphere, which spread throughout Europe and cause considerable environmental damage.
The amount of laminated safety glass is growing every day, but a sustainable solution has yet to be found.
This waste is exported from Switzerland to Belgium and Germany for incineration - a process that is associated with high costs and places an additional burden on the environment.
Goal of the program
The main objective of the Ecological Recycling Complex is to recover used automotive glass from hazardous waste and to transfer the entire waste stream of automotive glass into a closed production cycle. This should benefit both the economy and the environment.
To achieve this goal, it is essential to involve all stakeholders in the automotive glass cycle in an ecological alternative program. The importance of this program must be evaluated in a well-founded manner, underpinned with statistical data and close communication with the manufacturers of used vehicle glass must be maintained.
The program aims to divert the waste streams of automotive glass triplex from landfills and cost-intensive high-temperature incineration plants to modern glass production plants.
The long-term plan is to produce over 1,000 of our innovative recycling machines and successfully put them into operation in 30 EU countries.
Harmful disposal yesterday and today
Cross-border transportation: Costly and inefficient logistics across national borders.
High disposal costs: Expensive processes that place an unnecessary burden on the economy.
Environmental damage: Significant impact on nature and the climate due to improper disposal.
Green Recycling Today and Tomorrow
Growing resources with dynamic economic benefits: A sustainable increase in raw materials that provides positive impetus for the economy.
Cost reduction for glass products: By using up to 20% recycled raw materials in production, manufacturing costs can be noticeably reduced.
Protection of the environment: A significant reduction in the harmful effects on nature through sustainable recycling processes.
Savings for manufacturers: Less financial burden for producers of automotive glass waste, as expensive and environmentally harmful disposal in high-temperature furnaces is no longer necessary.
Price reduction of up to 20 %: The creation of a virtually inexhaustible source of recycled raw materials - such as used glass and polyvinyl butyral granules - enables cheaper glass products.
Economic added value in the country: The money stays in the region and strengthens the local economy.
Benefits of the environmental program
-
Less environmental impact: A noticeable reduction in harmful emissions by avoiding the environmentally harmful disposal of car windows.
-
Inexhaustible resource: The creation of a sustainable and virtually unlimited source of recycled used glass.
-
Economic benefit: The preservation of financial resources in the country for the benefit of a strong domestic economy.
